On what was the economic boom based?

The boom was dominated by the so called 'new' industries: cars, chemicals, electricity, and electrical products. Cars led the way. Mass produced cars were so cheap that most Americans were able to afford them. The enormous increase in the number of cars crated a demand for steel, glass and rubber, so these industries also boomed. This lesson will look at those industries.
