This is a lesson othat conducts a research investigation and a cartoon analysis of the famous 'David Low Cartoon 'The Doormat' - a cartoon of 1933 which was a criticsm of the World's leaders for their failure over Japans invasion of Manchuria in the Manchurian Crisis. It takes the cartoon and after the analysis asks studetns to create a creative interpretation of the cartoon.  It contains a powerpoint, a large copy of the image, a 5 mark mark scheme for the writing task.
